SOLD – Città Violenta OST LP – Ennio Morricone ‎(1985)

This somber soundtrack from 1970 by the late Maestro gets a limited reissue in the mid-eighties in Japan for Sumiya LTD in Shibuya, Tokyo. In case you’re not familiar with this period of Morricone, the use of fuzz guitars and layers of organ, percussions and strings by his arranger Bruno Nicolai contributes to create an atmosphere of suspense and danger. However, there is a groove bonus on this one (like most of his 60’s and 70’s soundtracks) in the form of “Svolta Definitiva“, a long psychedelic funk jam with acid guitar, organ and breakbeat drums.
