Description

Before hitting it big time with Jazz-Funk and fusion jazz in the late seventies to early eighties, Akira Ishikawa’s newly formed band The Count Buffaloes started off with covers. Much like with his other formation The Gentures (see “Rock New Disc“, “Rock Rock 70” and “Golden Drum” LPs), the aim was to please the young generation by bringing back the old rock classics and adding a funky edge. The result : killer KPM-style psych-funk covers with drum solos, breaks, loops, acid-fuzz guitars, ripping organ licks and great sound effects : the works!
